Nokia outlines mobile-internet plans for Philippines

Recent years have seen a clear shift in how Filipinos use their mobile phones, with around half of the country’s 78 million subscribers being potential mobile-internet users, according to Benoit Nalin, general manager, Nokia Philippines.

The company has launched a slew of devices enabling consumers to send and receive email, chat, and log on to social networking sites. It has also launched several user-friendly mobile messaging services and partnered with network operators to provide complements to these new services.
