The Regent Bali to open in 2011

Leading hotel company Carlson Hotels and the development conglomerate The Mayapada Group have announced their partnership to bring luxury brand Regent to Indonesia. They broke ground on the new property on 26 January 2010 and it is scheduled to open in 2011.

The Regent Bali ground breaking came shortly after Carlson Hotels announced that it will open a Regent property in Gurgaon, India. "Regent is renowned for superior luxury and service. The brand has an iconic historical legacy in Asia, and a strong affinity to the region," said Jean-Marc Busato, Managing Director, Asia-Pacific, Carlson Hotels. "Our goal is to establish a Regent presence in every key gateway city and premier resort location in Asia-Pacific."

Accompanying the new hotel are Regent Residences Bali, which are owned, developed and operated by The Mayapada Group. "The Regent Bali and branded residences will be a significant addition to the island’s growing portfolio of luxury accommodations," said Dr Tahir, Chairman, The Mayapada Group. Its highly distinctive brand name will play an integral role in attracting guests to the hotel, and we look forward to working with Regent to ensure the success of this development."
