Indonesian consumers remained optimistic in December, says central bank survey

Indonesian consumers remained optimistic in December, a Bank Indonesia survey showed on Wednesday.

The central bank’s consumer confidence index rose to 107.5 in December from 103.7 in November. A reading above 100 indicates consumers are optimistic.

Consumers were more upbeat about economic conditions and job availability in the next six months than they were a month earlier, the survey showed.
