Tmall Global has launched Inamall, a marketplace that enables Indonesian businesses to sell to Chinese consumers directly.
Inamall was launched by Indonesian Trade Minister Thomas Lembong and Alibaba Group vice president Brian A Wong.
“E-commerce is among the fastest and most effective way to reach hundreds of millions of consumers in China and other countries without arduous efforts and huge investments.” – Thomas Lembong
Lembong also mentioned that the ministry was currently looking into other partnerships with other e-commerce giants besides Alibaba.
Only a few brands are listed on Inamall right now, including Kapal Api, a coffee brand that’s quite well-known in China.
The list is expected to grow rapidly if Tmall pushes Inamall like they did with the other country-focused marketplaces e.g. the UK, the US, France, South Korea and Thailand.
