Nielsen: Indians ready to pay for online content

Internet users polled in India are ready to pay for online content, particularly books, magazines and music, and professionally produced videos and television shows, said market research company Nielsen in its survey of 27,000 consumers in 54 countries. The survey found that 70 percent of Indians are willing to pay for online content if they have the right to copy and share it with others. About 63 percent will pay if the payment system is easy to use and 61 percent are willing to pay for the same content online if the costs are comparable with what they pay for it offline.
