India’s coffee exports surge 43 percent due to increased global demand

India’s coffee exports have surged 43 percent to 38,734 tonnes during the first two months of 2010 on the back of higher domestic production coupled with increased demand from overseas. In value terms, exports have jumped 48 percent to INR434.5 crore (INR4.3 billion, USD94 million) according to Coffee Board of India data released on Tuesday.
