$500m revamp for Perth’s town square

A $500 million plan to sink Perth’s central train station and build a huge town square has been unveiled by the West Australian government. The area around the Horseshoe Bridge would be transformed into a 1.1 hectare town square to include public gardens, retail, business and residential areas.
