New Balance enters Cambodia retail scene with four new Phnom Penh stores

U.S. sportswear giant New Balance has entered Cambodia’s retail scene with the opening of four new stores in the Southeast Asian country.

Located across the nation’s capital city, Phnom Penh, the four New Balance stores can be found at Chip Mong 271 Mega Mall, and across all three Aeon malls in the city: Aeon Mall Sen Sok City; Aeon Mall Mean Chey; and Aeon Mall Phnom Penh.

Opening in partnership with MAP Active Cambodia, an importer and distributor of sports and lifestyle brands in the region, New Balance is looking to Cambodia as market for growth, with the New Balance stores set to become milestones in brand presentation and customer experiences, according a report by the Phnom Penh Post.

Looking ahead,  MAP Active intends to open two more New Balance stores in the country this year, as part of a long-term plan to expand New Balance’s footprint in its new market.

New Balance was founded in 1906 as New Balance Arch Support Company. The brand is based in Boston, Massachusetts, and maintains a manufacturing presence in USA and also UK for the European market.
