The Roman jeweller has designed the new Tokyo store to riff on its native capital city, Rome. Inside, the well-lit store is composed of marbles and “magnificent architecture,” according to a press release from LVMH Group-owned jeweller.
The saffron-coloured exterior and floor is designed to emit the evening light of Rome. As for the jeweller’s collection, two counters and displays showcase an extensive collection of jewelry and watches, as well as bags, wallets and other accessories.
“Italian design is renowned worldwide for its beauty in its form, the audacity with which precious materials, colors and sublime craftsmanship are combined, the relationship between ancient and modern, tradition and innovation, qualities that characterize the Bulgari interior design concept,” said Bulgari in a statement.
“There are few moments as magical as when the sunsets in the magnificent city of Rome in an explosion of golden wavelengths of light creating the perfect moment during the transition from day to night.”
Opening its doors on August 10, the opening party for Bulgari Omotesando was attended by Japanese singer and actor Sumire Matsubara, alongside model Maggie, and model and actor, Aya Asahina, among other special guests.
The opening comes after Bulgari Hotel & Resorts announced in April the opening its first Bulgari Hotel location in Japan, in the nation’s capital city, Tokyo, alongside the Imperial Palace and the vibrant shopping areas of both Nihombashi and Ginza.
