L’Oréal brings blockbuster portfolio to Wangfujing Duty Free

L’Oréal Travel Retail has introduced 16 brands to Wangfujing International Duty-Free Harbour City in Wanning, Hainan province.

In a speech at the opening ceremony, Wangfujing Duty Free Deputy General Manager Zeng Qun said the cooperation between the two companies coincides with the rapid development of the Hainan Free Trade Port. She said Wangfujing Group is also facing a critical period of upgrading the consumer market and transforming its retail business.

As a result, the group has grasped travel retail’s “golden development period”, vigorously developed the duty free business, and continuously enhanced Wangfujing International Duty-Free Harbour City, she commented.

Wangfujing Duty Free said that besides being the partners’ first collaboration, the project also represents an important milestone in terms of omnichannel co-operation.

The group brands include Lancôme, Kiehl’s, Helena Rubinstein, L’Oréal Paris, Maison Margiela, Shu Uemura, Kérastase, and other beauty and fragrance labels. The offer includes several new concepts representing “both a new beginning and a new challenge”, Wangfujing Duty Free said.

In addition to selecting high-quality brands from around the world, Wangfujing International Duty-Free Harbour City also focuses on customers’ needs and provides uninterrupted “butler-like” personalised shopping services, the retailer said.
