Lendlease unveiled a refreshing food and beverage and convenience store duo to Paya Lebar Quarter (PLQ) in partnership with 7-Eleven, Singapore’s favourite convenience store.
The two standalone outlets – one of which is an innovative concept store located at the PLQ 3 office lobby while the other is a kiosk concept store situated at the plaza outside PLQ Mall – will bring dual convenience offerings to office tenants, shoppers, visitors and nearby residents.
The first office lobby concept store by 7-Eleven at PLQ 3 will house a distinctive experience, featuring a self-serve beer corner that utilises reverse tap technology, and a new product range of accompanying hot finger food, which can be enjoyed indoors or at the al-fresco parkside seating area.
This new concept store will also be one of the few selected 7-Eleven outlets offering “Zero Zone” chillers, for shoppers to discover unique alcohol-free options, in addition to the promise of a great selection of signature meals-on-the-go, personal care items and key daily necessities.
Conveniently located along the PLQ Parkside walking and cycle paths, the store also serves as a pit stop for commuters on the connecting Sims Avenue and Geylang Park Connector Network (PCN) paths of the Eastern Coastal Loop. This brings even greater convenience to the doorsteps of PLQ 3 office tenants, visitors and nearby residents, whilst complementing the current variety of F&B offerings in the lush surroundings of PLQ Parkside.
The PLQ 3 concept store has been in operation since 29th September. In addition, the unique kiosk concept store situated at PLQ Plaza offers convenient F&B options over the counter which includes grab-and-go breakfasts, quick meals and food selections for tea breaks.
Steven Lye, Managing Director of 7-Eleven Singapore, said, “As Singapore’s favourite convenience store, 7-Eleven is proud to introduce these two exciting concepts to PLQ. We are certain that the lobby concept store at PLQ 3 will be a delightful new hang-out spot for the dynamic working crowd after office hours. By adding these distinctive stores to our network, we will further strengthen our position as a fun and innovative brand offering great tasting food whilst creating talk-of-the-town excitement for our customers.”
Ng Hsueh Ling, Managing Director for Lendlease in Singapore and Chief Investment Officer for Asia, said, “As we continue to see a steadfast recovery in consumer demand, we are committed to strengthening our tenant partnerships and exploring new synergistic collaborations in our continued effort to cater to our shoppers’ needs that have evolved during these COVID-19 times.”
“The synergy between 7-Eleven’s trusted convenience and PLQ’s integrated lifestyle offerings will elevate the PLQ experience for our patrons, giving them the option of a place to recharge and relax at any time,” she added.
This collaboration is one of the many initiatives spearheaded by Lendlease to curate offerings that respond to the changing needs of PLQ patrons, who have indicated their desire for a fusion of convenience offerings in the precinct including F&B options, packaged food, beverages, personal care items and key daily necessities, through previous surveys conducted by the development.
