South Korea’s household income growth hit the highest in six quarters in the last quarter of 2011 and consumer sentiment improved in February, a relief for an economy hit with weakening exports.
Disposable household income rose a real 3.1 percent from a year earlier, the fastest pace since a 4 per cent rise in the second quarter of 2010.
The finance ministry attributed the robust income growth to improved employment.
