Seven & I Holdings to launch online shopping service in Japan

Retail giant Seven & I Holdings Co. said on Thursday it will launch a new, comprehensive online shopping service on Nov. 11 — initially covering 1.8 million items sold by all group companies in Japan.

Under the service, called "omni7", registered users can order any products offered by group retailers online and have them delivered to their home address or receive them at Seven & I Holdings group outlets across Japan, such as Seven-Eleven Japan Co. Ltd.’s convenience stores.

Products to become available will range from convenience store and supermarket items marketed by Seven-Eleven Japan and Ito-Yokado Co. to specialty and department store goods offered by Sogo & Seibu Co. and others.
