Nikkei Trendy, one of the most popular monthly business magazines in Japan, has released its top 30 products of 2009. The selection provides a barometer for some of the major trends seen in Japan over the year.
Services or products released to the public between October 2008 and September 2009 were eligible for nomination. Rankings were determined by an overall evaluation in the categories of "sales amount", "innovation", "new market creation" and "influence".
