Japan: Department store sales fall again

Japan’s department store sales fell 5.4 percent in February from a year earlier on a same-store basis, marking the 24th consecutive month of decline, an industry body said earlier this month.

Sales in the reporting month came to JPY436.4 billion (USD4.73 billion), the Japan Department Stores Association said.
