Acer considering new acquisition for PC business, maybe Japan-based vendor, says chairman

Acer chairman JT Wang recently revealed that the company is currently thinking of a new acquisition to strengthen its PC business and is in talks with several vendors, in particular Japan-based brands that have other core businesses beyond PC products – for example Toshiba, which has a strong consumer-electronics division and is a front-runner in storage space – although Wang did not specifically name any companies.
