Consumer confidence in Taiwan continues to fall for ninth consecutive month

Consumer confidence in Taiwan continues to fall, dropping in January for the ninth consecutive month as the domestic economy remains stagnant, according to a survey released Wednesday. The survey by a unit of National Central University (NCU) showed that the consumer confidence index for January fell 0.72 points from a month earlier to 80.89 amid cautious sentiment toward the economic climate.
