Taiwan-based color filter maker Cando, a subsidiary of LCD panel maker AU Optronics, will invest as much as NT$24 billion (US$745.1 million) to set up a touch panel production plant in the Central Taiwan Science Park, according to a committee under Taiwan’s National Science Council.
