Hong Kong: A treat for tourists

Rated as one of the most open economies in the world, particularly with a focus on financial and trade services, Hong Kong was not unscathed by the global economic slowdown.

The downturn has resulted in the city focusing on expanding avenues like tourism as a buffer, with the Hong Kong Tourism Board doubling the promotional budget for its source markets to more than HKD15 million (USD1.9 million).
