HK Intl Airport and China Unionpay launch year-long shopping discounts

Passing through Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) this year? Be sure to take advantage of a few discounts!

HKIA is partnering with China Unionpay (CUP) to offer year-round shopping and dining privileges to CUP card holders. From 1 May 2010 to 30 April 2011, all CUP card holders will enjoy over 50 special year-round offers from a wide range of stores.

Clothing vendors and accessorie brands are offering various promotional campaigns with 5-15% discounts on merchandise, free gifts, or reward coupons. Restaurants like Hang Heung’s Kitchen, Green Cottage Vietnamese Restaurant, Heineken Bar, Maxim’s Chinese Restaurant, and others, are offering 10-40% off of certain menus, or from the total bill after spending above a fixed amount. Even charging your phone minutes at the airport now has benefits, as Hutchison Telecommunication Services offers 10% discount on prepaid SIM cards or recharge vouchers of HKD100 or above.

HKIA pledges that all customers will be guaranteed these promotional discounts for the same goods priced as they would be at their downtown locations. For more information on the promotions, visit the HKIA website.
