Bottega Veneta’s Harbour City flagship store in Hong Kong reopened on January 14 with new architectural features and an expanded offering, just in time for the Chinese New Year.
Located in Harbour City’s Gateway Arcade, the 5,570-square-foot space is designed around materials from the Veneto region, with the Milan-based luxury brand’s identity showcased throughout the space, including the furniture.
Under the style direction of Bottega Veneta creative director, Matthieu Blazy, the store’s design elements include white clay tiles and hand-cast Murano glass, alongside concrete, soft gold brass, and a blue marble with white veins, designed to riff on the “moving waters of Venice,” according to a press release.
Serving as the Italian brand’s official Hong Kong flagship, the reopened Harbour City store stocks all of Bottega Veneta’s product categories, including leathergoods, jewellery, accessories, ready-to-wear, shoes and eyewear for men and women.
To mark the launch this month, local celebrities Fala Chen and Louise Wong, were in attendance at the store. The reopened Harbour City store takes Bottega Veneta’s store count in Hong Kong to ten locations, including a pop-up in the shopping mall.
Harbour City is the largest shopping mall in Hong Kong. Located alongside the city’s Victoria Harbour, the mall boasts some 450 shops, 80 food and beverage outlets, an art gallery, an observatory deck, three hotels and a cruise terminal all under one roof.
