Aeon Hong Kong has partnered with Japanese chain coffee shop Komeda to introduce Komeda Coffee Shop in Hong Kong. It will open in October after Aeon Hong Kong secured regional franchise rights earlier this year.

“This new strategic cooperation is the first time that Aeon Hong Kong has joined hands with a well-known Japanese coffee chain, which may accelerate Aeon Hong Kong in the format of restaurant chain stores,” stated Aeon Hong Kong’s MD, Isao Sugawara.
Located inside Aeon Style Huangpu, Komeda’s Coffee store will adopt traditional Japanese architecture. Nagoya, considered to be the fountainhead of Japanese cafe culture, has been home to Komeda’s Coffee since 1968.
With a history of over 50 years, Komeda’s Coffee is an old Japanese coffee shop chain with stores scattered throughout Asia-Pacific. Not only do they have plenty of branches in Japan, they now have up to 33 stores in Taiwan and Shanghai, with Taiwanese stores expanding into Taipei, Taichung, Tainan and Kaohsiung.

At the coffee shop, customers will find a value set breakfast and lunch menus that feature specialty sandwiches, hotdog subs, Japanese light meals, and desserts such as cake, shinchi, ice cream, and danishes.
