Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou launches afternoon tea

Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou has launched a special golden yellow-themed Afternoon Tea, inspired by the beautiful, historic 19th century yellow brick buildings that colourfully decorate the old town Centre of Guangzhou, and in celebration of the 2021 Pantone Colour of the Year “Illuminating.”

Pantone describes this year’s colour as a “bright and cheerful yellow sparkling with vivacity, a warming yellow shade imbued with solar power.” The Atrium will feature the Illuminating-themed tea until mid-summer 2021.

Executive Pastry Chef Keng Seng Mak has specially-curated this new menu for the new Illuminating themed te, with a stunning selection of fresh, yellow ingredients – which include Japanese yuzu, pineapples, lemons, passionfruit and more choices of alluring sweets.

Served on a beautiful bronze custom-designed stand, the selection includes White Chocolate Pineapple and Ginger Éclairs, Yuzu and Mandarin Orange Mascarpone Crème, Passion Fruit Cream Cheesecake and Apricot Yogurt Cake.

Apart from the sweet bites, try the lovely savouries including Boston Lobster “Tortilla” with Oscietra Caviar, Foie Gras Brioche as well as Brie and Iberico Ham Skewered with Pickles. Save some space for the homemade scones, pared with strawberry jam, lemon curd and clotted cream, one of the highlights of this age-old British tradition.
