Hong Kong’s pioneering butcher and restaurateur, Feather & Bone, has officially taken over Lee Garden Two in the heart of Causeway Bay, Hong Kong.
The brand’s 11th store and restaurant is now open at the luxury shopping and dining destination with its famed Butcher’s Counter and first sit-down bakery, alongside an extensive grocery and dining area – all set within welcoming interiors designed by Sean Dix, inspired by the archetypal British butcher shops of the 1940’s. To celebrate the grand opening, exciting perks and exclusive offers are waiting for guests to be enjoyed throughout June.
Boasting an over 2,000 sq. ft. shop and 3,498 sq. ft. restaurant, the new venue seats up to 132 guests with a cosy bakery corner – perfect for a quick breakfast before work or relaxing afternoon tea.
The inviting dining area is designed with large banquettes made of ox-blood-coloured Scottish leather, which is also used for Rolls Royce upholstery, and an intimate ten-seater private dining room featuring grand butcher’s blocks that serve as a dining table. Antique mirrors, an elegant white tin ceiling and the brand’s iconic dark green tiles, fine brushed brass, and natural oak give the venue its FAB-famous old-school flair with a modern twist.
“Our new design is a reimagination of a 1940’s neighbourhood on British High Street. It is one of those mostly extinct local shops where they greet you by name and they know what cut of beef you prefer. All different elements were designed to reinforce this ambience: the radiused tiles from historic British buildings, the checkerboard green and white marble floor, and the antique British café lamps sourced from Birmingham. The centrepiece of the restaurant is, of course, the Italian Carrara Butcher’s Island, backed by a life-sized sculpture of a bull which makes the highlight of the bar,” says interior architect and designer Sean Dix.
As the first venue with an in-house bakery, sourdough lovers can indulge in oven-fresh bread with the perfect golden crust and pastry treats alongside a house blend coffee by F.A.B. Coffee Roasters that promises to satisfy.
For meat lovers, the expansive Butcher’s Island – an upscale version of the brand’s signature Butcher’s Counter that defines all stores – offers the opportunity to hand pick premium steaks, other expertly carved cuts and other top-quality meats; as well as jet-fresh oysters, mussels, salmon, and more treasures of the sea from Feather & Bone’s first-ever Seafood Counter – perfect enjoyed at home or cooked in-house.
True butchery enthusiasts are invited to book the brand’s popular private Sausage-making, Lamb Butchery or Beef Wellington Making Masterclasses, followed by a gourmet sit-down dinner where wine and beer flow freely, before taking home a copious amount of handmade goods.
The famed butcher and delicatessen’s arrival at Lee Garden Two delivers new levels of approachable, personalised shopping and dining to the prestigious mall, blending four different concepts – the Butcher’s Counter, grocer, restaurant and bakery – into one unique FAB-iconic experience that is sure to attract crowds from near and far.
