Chris Heywood, General Manager, Citygate, said, “We are very excited to launch our new extension as it will not only solidify our position as the city’s leading premium outlet shopping complex, but also as a haven for unparalleled lifestyle experiences. With our expansion, and our location as a gateway to popular attractions on Lantau and in the Greater Bay Area, we are confident that Citygate Outlets will continue to be a must-visit shopping, dining and entertainment destination.”

Located at the heart of Lantau, Citygate Outlets is directly connected to the Tung Chung MTR Station and is close to the Hong Kong International Airport as well as the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.

The development offers both locals and tourists an unique getaway experience, and is a starting point for visitors to explore various popular attractions on Lantau Island including Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car, the Big Buddha and Hong Kong Disneyland.

With over 30 F&B outlets set to be on offer, visitors can indulge themselves in the best of Hong Kong’s culinary scene; and feast on Asian and Western fare, explore casual cafes or al fresco eateries, and search out those hidden spots for dessert and more.

Among the highlights, new dining options include Guangdong-style SIXA, Beijing’s legendary Xihe Bistro and Japanese Nabemono restaurant Hana. Chun Shui Tang Cultural Tea House will open their second restaurant outlet in Citygate Outlets offering a deeply comfortable ambiance for tea and Taiwanese delicacies.

Law Mark Kee will also offer an exclusive Citygate Outlets menu. For visitors looking for variety, the new food court by Food Republic – Food Opera, which is designed to be an epicurean delight in every detail, from the unique interior decoration to the exciting new culinary offerings, will be the perfect pick.

Entertainment will be in abundance at the new and expanded Citygate Outlets. The complex has increased its event spaces to include a larger atrium for seasonal decorations and festive performances; as well as a new vast outdoor area for weekend markets and exhibitions. The goal is to showcase both local and international talent, as well as homegrown produce and goods.

UA Cinema will re-enter to provide visitors with an extraordinary movie-going experience through its four state-of-the-art theatres, providing over 600 seats and featuring the latest projection and sound technologies.

As part of the Citygate Outlets expansion, the complex will feature a new dedicated Customer Care Centre. Spanning over 1,600 sq ft, the Centre will comprise a travel information corner where visitors can find out more about the attractions in the Lantau area; an interactive kids zone – where young shoppers can get creative; as well as massage chairs – for adults looking to kick back after some serious shopping.
