Located in the heart of Melbourne’s high-end furniture and design precinct, the flagship will be the first Bang & Olufsen store in Australia to introduce a new concept for the space, designed to showcase the Connected Speakers range of at-home products in a sophisticated setting, complete with on-site café.
Spanning 380 square meters, the flagship store is designed to reflect the Danish aesthetic by incorporating Nordic design throughout, from the Ceppo di Gre stone, Danish designed furniture, and lighting imported from Denmark.
The on-site café will offer coffee sourced from regions across the globe and represents an Asia Pacific first for Bang & Olufsen stores.
“We are so excited to be launching the Bang & Olufsen flagship in Richmond, one of the most innovative localities in the world. The design thinking and investment into creating a climate adapted city is well aligned with Bang & Olufsen’s values,” said Arnaud De Schuytter, President of Bang & Olufsen Asia Pacific. “The showroom allows for true sensory experiences, where customers are able to engage with the Connected Speakers through unique and interactive displays and immerse themselves in Bang & Olufsen’s superior sound.”

The Richmond store is the fourth to open in Australia by Bang & Olufsen’s Southeast Asia & Oceania master distributor Design Collection Denmark (DCD). With DCD’s Australian office headquartered in the same space, the team will also be able to host interior designers and architects at the location to discuss plans and create bespoke experiences for their clients.
