Balabala continues to expand in Southeast Asia

Following a successful launch of the brand in Hanoi and Haiphong in December 2020, Balabala is continuing with its expansion in the Vietnamese market with two additional stores signed for opening in Ho Chi Minh in Q3 this year, bringing the total number of stores to five in less than 12 months.

Despite difficult Covid related trading conditions in the territory in 2021, the initial trading results from its first three stores have confirmed the brands growth strategy for the market.

Balabala will be launching its latest 7th generation international format stores in Ho Chi Minh with a full product range from Baby through to older kids, homewear and shoe products, integrating services with an enhanced customer shopping experience. Vietnam is a key growth market for Balabala as it continues its rapid expansion through SE Asia and the Middle East.

On the 25th June, Balabala also announced its first franchise store opening in Kathmandu, Nepal, at Labim Mall, the most premier Mall in Nepal, with a 3-year development plan in place to capitalize on early opportunities in this exciting emerging market.

Currently Balabala have 31 overseas stores as it begins to leverage its base of over 4,500 stores in its domestic market. Expansion continues in its established markets through 2021 with new territories set to be announced in the Middle East and SE Asia later in the year.
