French crystal house Baccarat has opened its first store in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Baccarat is a handcrafted crystal manufacturer that was established in 1764 in eastern France under the patronage of King Louis XV. It has since become one of the most significant monuments in the area.
“Vietnamese crystal lovers can accentuate their living space with novelty furniture from the latest crystal collections from Baccarat,” said the spokesperson of S&S Group, the official distributor of Baccarat in Vietnam.
S&S Group is a wholly-owned conglomerate with interests in luxury, real estate development, arts and fashion. The group also partners with brands including Lamborghini, Rolls Royce and Bovet.
Baccarat’s pieces have been seen in Indian Maharajahs’ palaces, Tsar Nicholas II’s candelabra, and the Japanese Court’s orders. “Baccarat was the first unit in France to produce coloured crystals. Many shades become the trademark of the brand to this day, such as ruby red.” the spokesperson added.
