Harvey Norman expects H1 up at least 40%

Harvey Norman Holdings Ltd says sales from its franchised store were up 7.7 per cent in the last five months and expects its first half profit to jump more than 40 per cent as the retailer predicts a strong Christmas.

Sales totalled $1.93 billion for the period July 1 to November 22, compared to $1.79 billion in the previous corresponding period, the company said in a statement on Monday.
