GM was a media punching bag in 2007-09; now it’s Toyota’s turn

The Lexus GX460 just received a very special "Don’t Buy" rating from Consumer Reports and I believe this is the very first time the brand has ever received a negative rating or comment from CR.

In spite of this [and other recent bad publicity], I think Toyota is a brand that could easily bounce back. It would take some time and a complete reconnect to the consumer, but they could do it. And they need a new product and marketing strategy to bring them back from brand hell.
