Retail and food majors line up to be in Indian mega food parks

Retail and food majors, such as Pantaloons Retail, Capital Foods, Temptation Foods and Brittal Foods, have expressed interest in setting up mega food parks in the Indian states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. Funds have already been allocated for the five food parks to be set up this financial year, however, of the six ongoing mega food parks, only one in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, has started operations.
