The reopening on 21 September at 10am comes 47 days after the acclaimed retail complex was forced to close on 5 August because of the COVID-19 outbreak on the island.

The reopening is particularly timely with the crucial Golden Week holiday period, which traditionally kicks off with a late September rush, just days away.

The store will open from 10am to 6pm daily. CDFG announced on WeChat that it has implemented all COVID prevention measures according to government requirements. Customers need to wear masks, present a health code and have their temperature taken to enter the store.

Following the reopening, September 22 was a special CDF members day, with multiple promotions to be rolled out online and in person.
