Galeries Lafayette Macau set to open on January 26

Forward Fashion has announced the highly anticipated opening of renowned luxury department store Galeries Lafayette at YOHO Treasure Island Resorts World Shopping Centre in Macau on January 26.

The opening, which is being positioned as Macau’s newest waterfront lifestyle destination, marks the debut of the first Galeries Lafayette in Hong Kong and Macau, promising a new shopping experience that will captivate international and local shoppers alike.

Visitor arrivals in Macau rebounded to 70 percent of pre-pandemic levels in 2019, reaching 28 million by the end of 2023, with an average daily volume of 77,000 visitors, according to the Macau government.

Spanning over 30,000 square feet and overlooking the Nam Van Lake, Galeries Lafayette Macau showcases more than 100 prestigious international brands, including exclusive “First-in-Macau” offerings and the innovative “EDIT by Galeries Lafayette” section.

A highlight of the opening festivities will be the debut of the first Marni Market in Macau and a Chinese New Year-themed pop-up store by niche luxury fragrance brand Byredo. Galeries Lafayette Macau has also partnered with Charlotte Tilbury to present an brand drone show above the waterfront.

The grand opening will also see the addition of other brands such as Five Guys, POP MART, Under Armour, UFC Gym, and BEEBEELAND.

With its exquisite design and a 7-metre indoor replica of the Eiffel Tower, the store immerses visitors in the elegance and allure of Paris.
