LVMH-owned French jewellery maison Chaumet has appointed Charles Leung, a Hong Kong-born luxury veteran, as its new CEO, effective January 2024.

Leung spent over a decade at Cartier before joining Chaumet in 2006 as managing director for Asia-Pacific.

Leung played a pivotal role in driving the maison’s growth in the Asia-Pacific region and achieving great success particularly in the Chinese market. Leung climbed the corporate ladder and was promoted to vice president of distribution and sales in 2012, where he managed global operations.

In 2018, he assumed the role of chief executive officer at LVMH-owned jeweller Fred, further expanding his expertise in jewellery.
