Benjamin Vuchot, the departing chairman and CEO of DFS Group, is set to explore new professional avenues, as announced by LVMH in a recent LinkedIn update.

Stepping into Vuchot’s shoes on an interim basis effective November 1 is Ed Brennan, poised to guide DFS through this transitional phase.

Vuchot’s tenure at Sephora until September 2020 was marked by significant contributions to the growth of the premium beauty retailer’s Asian business.

Vuchot’s journey intertwines with Brennan’s, with the latter previously overseeing DFS prior to Vuchot’s appointment.

Vuchot’s professional trajectory, originating from the ESSEC business school in France and through roles at Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels, culminated in his leadership at DFS, where he steered operations in key markets such as Greater China and South Korea in 2011.

Toni Belloni, senior non executive DFS Group Board Director said in a LinkedIn post by LVMH: “We thank Benjamin for his strong leadership of DFS through the very challenging Covid pandemic times to emerge as a leaner,  more efficient and more focused organisation. Importantly Benjamin also led the development of the Hainan Yalong Bay project which will become a major pillar of DFS future growth.”

“Ed Brennan is the perfect leader to step in and lead the continued reinvention of DFS. He has over 25 years experience at DFS and has twice before been Chairman and CEO with an outstanding track record. Over the past four years, Ed has been a non executive Director of DFS and fully involved in the strategic developments of the business,” the post concluded.
