The Emsphere mall has been constructed on 200,000 square metres next to Benchasiri Park. The 15 billion baht space includes retail and entertainment facilities as well as a hotel.

Mall Group Co has previously opened two other locations, Emporium and EmQuartier, which target the family and younger shopper demographics. This year, as part of the company’s overall shift in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Emporium is transitioning  into a modern luxury shopping complex.

In addition, the company has adopted the theme of “Future Retail” at the Emsphere mall, with the latest trends, immersive experiences, and futuristic lifestyles incorporated into its store.

Having established Siam Paragon as a world-class retail and entertainment phenomenon, Mall Group’s Chairperson Ms Supaluck says the company is looking forward to repeating success in The Emsphere and Bangkapi’s new retail district. By opening The Emsphere, Bangkok will be able to compete with Paris, Shanghai, London, New York, Japan and Seoul as a metropolis.

“We poured a 500-million-baht budget into designing The Emsphere to have a new vibe for Bangkok. Each of our malls in the EM District aim to meet a different need” Ms Supaluck explained.

“The Emsphere proved to be our most challenging project in our 40 years of experience in Thailand’s retail business because we wanted to position each of the three malls to be fun for shoppers.”

With a capacity of more than 6,000 seats, the new mall will be operated by AEG, the world’s number one entertainment and sports company. The operating company will employ 10,000 workers at all complexes to support the predicted 80,000 and 100,000 daily visitors.
