The new Yoho and Dazed Media partnership has been facilitated by C Ventures, a venture capital fund that has backed both Yoho and Dazed Media to launch the Briton’s expansion overseas.

According to a press release from Yoho, Adrian Cheng, Founder of C Ventures will be Chairman of Dazed China, as a result of the backing.

The agreement was signed between Liang Chao, Founder of Yoho and Jefferson Hack, Co-Founder and CEO of Dazed Media.

Dazed China will be published bi-monthly as a print magazine and as an online platform that exhorts “global youth culture, curating stories that will bridge the East and West across fashion, art, music and film,” said the statement from Yoho on Tuesday.

“Dazed China is expected to reach the next generation quickly and effectively, empowering them through creativity and fulfilling their demands for diversity and personalization,” continued the press release.

Looking ahead, Dazed China will leverage the Dazed brand’s editorial and creative values and Yoho’s “multimedia and operational experience to form new models in commercial distribution, e-commerce, new media products and events,” it added.

Published by Dazed Media, Dazed magazine currently covers youth fashion and culture and has a global audience of over 7 million across its bi-monthly print magazine, online platform, social channels and events.

Launching in 2005, China’s Yoho boasts an audience of 35 million and is considered to be an authority on streetwear culture in China.

The platform has contributed to China’s high-end streetwear culture, using its niche business model to celebrate youth culture across its media, retail and lifestyle products.
