China Mobile and Taiwanese Far Eastone Telecommunications are reported to have signed a cooperation memorandum on the joint construction of a trial long term evolution time division duplex (TD-LTE) network to promote the development of TD-LTE technologies which is a part of the 3GPP specifications for the next generation cellular technology.
Apart from Far Eastone, Vibo and Chunghwa Telecom, two other telecom enterprises from Taiwan, are also targets for cooperation with China Mobile on the development of TD-LTE networks.
