CDF Haikou International Duty Free Shopping Centre has bounced back from the recent impact of Super Typhoon Yagi in the north of Hainan island to unveil a wide-ranging experiential campaign in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival (17 September).

By integrating cultural and tourism elements with diversified entertainment and shopping experiences, the campaign is designed to drive consumption during the holiday period.
From 11 to 17 September the retailer is hosting Mid-Autumn Festival activities themed ‘Wherever the Moonlight Goes, I’m Happy with You’ in the shopping emporium’s Aura Skyline Secret Forest.
Visitors can have their photos taken on-site to receive cdf Mid-Autumn Festival-themed postcards and stamps to send to friends and families.
In a much-anticipated development, the cdf Haikou International Duty Free Shopping Centre Whisky Museum is about to open, CDFG announced this week.
Described as China’s first one-stop whisky experience museum, the attraction will offer the dual opportunity to taste a range of fine whiskies while experiencing a deep immersion in whisky culture.
China Duty Free Group (CDFG) has also partnered with British fashion brand Burberry to offers consumers ‘Mid-Autumn Festival Sweet Gift’ chocolates at check-in.
In addition, many renowned brands, including Coach, La Mer and pop-up stores from on-trend national sports brands have joined in the Mid-Autumn Festival fun.
Collectively they are creating an unprecedented immersive experience through creative interactive installations, fun game challenges and other activities, CDFG said.
Coach China’s first Tabby air membrane pop-up store is particularly eye-catching, offering a fashionable shopping space combined with a playground of childlike fun and fantasy.
Throughout September, CDFG has joined hands with an array of world-renowned liquor brands to host the Autumn Wine & Spirits Festival.
The retailer is offering 10x points on purchases and up to -60 percent discounts on selected imported wines and spirits. A promotion featuring 11 wine brands includes free tastings, check-in and on-purchase gifts, and other benefits.
With the impact of Super Typhoon Yagi gradually fading Hainan is recovering its former charm and vitality, CDFG said.
