Executive Chef Gregory Hill said,“We proudly admit that, Kapuhala Koh Samui was conceived several years ago as a plant-based project, making us the Game Changers before the (Netflix) Game Changers! We have created a new restaurant concept that connects gourmet plant-based dining to fitness and social living. We do not just create beautiful plant-based food, we are highlighting how physical and cognitive performance is directly connected to nutrition.”

Halapua also has a plant based Rooftop Mixology Lounge.

Retail in Asia has met the Co-founder, Stefano Passarello, serial entrepreneur and ironman, multi-disciplinary athlete and recently defined in the press as the bio-hacker of the GBA. We asked him more details about the project and how is it going to evolve.

RiA: How would you define the concept and its holistic approach?

Stefano: The rapidly expanding brand Kapuhala aims at creating life-enhancing experiences through fitness, nutrition and social living.

It is an exclusive community of business leaders, athletes and forward-thinkers coming together to learn how to optimize their physical and mental performance to become not only superior athletes and successful businessmen but also happier and balanced individuals and in turn become more capable and willing to give back to society and nature.

RiA: How is it different from others?

Stefano: Kapuhala Koh Samui could be seen just as simple as a holiday or wellness retreat. But we would like to look at it as a place that, from a normal holiday can trigger a long term change.

We focus on health-conscious fitness enthusiasts, race runners, corporate high-achievers, even curious families, even those looking to adopt a more eco-conscious approach to a holistic and life-enhancing travel experience, far beyond simply a holiday.

RiA: Why in Thailand and specifically in Koh Samui?

Stefano: Because it is a smaller “Bali,” but with the same magic. And it is 2.5 hours from Hong Kong.
