Apple plans major push into China

Apple has revealed ambitious plans to expand in Mainland China, planning to open as many as 25 retail stores in the country in the next two years. Apple’s first store in the country opened in Beijing in 2008.

At the company’s annual shareholder meeting held on 25 February, CEO Steve Jobs said his company has to "think big" and that its USD40 billion cash hoard offers flexibility, suggesting that he had no immediate plans to spend the money on a share buyback or dividend.
