The online service is called iShopChangiWines.com and is available to non-travellers.

Consumers can purchase up to 30 litres – equivalent to around 40 bottles – of duty and Goods and Services Tax (GST)-absorbed beverages per day.

The platform features more than 140 luxury products from brands across the world, as well as DFS travel exclusives.

As part of the service, professional advice and guidance from DFS’ in-house wine connoisseur will be offered, while the website also provides recommendations customised to consumers’ tastes.

“The launch of the new iShopChangiWines e-shopping site marks Changi Airport’s latest move in making shopping accessible to consumers even if they do not have a boarding pass to fly,” said Changi Airport Group Group Senior Vice President, Airside Concessions Teo Chew Hoon.

“Not only do they get to pick from the wide selection of premium products specially curated by DFS, they will also enjoy the privileges presented by iShopChangi and Changi Rewards, the airport’s loyalty rewards programme,” she continued.

DFS Group General Manager, Singapore Prashant Mahboobani commented: “At DFS, we recognise that our consumers’ needs and shopping behaviours continue to evolve and we are always seeking new ways to satisfy them. The launch of iShopChangiWines.com is a significant milestone for DFS at Changi Airport as we bring our standards of quality and value, with added convenience to consumers.”

A series of on-ground activations around Singapore and a pre-teaser campaign titled #BestKeptSecretSG have been launched in support of the new service. A branded truck carrying empty wine bottles is also touring Singapore to promote iShopChangiWines.

Members of the public are being encouraged to capture a photo of the truck and upload it on social media along with the hashtag ‘#BestKeptSecretSG’. They can also participate in an ongoing contest on www.bestkeptsecret.sg to guess the number of empty wine bottles housed in the truck.
