Karl Noronha joins Thailand’s aCommerce as GM

Thailand-based end-to-end e-Commerce company aCommerce has expanded to Singapore and Malaysia and is appointing Karl Noronha (formerly Regional Director of Amazon Global Selling) as General Manager for the region.

As General Manager, his focus will be on making aCommerce Singapore ‘e-distributor hub’ for international brands interested in tapping Southeast Asia’s $88 billion market, which is expected to reach $200 billion by 2025.       

aCommerce is an e-commerce solutions provider present in Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore, bringing global brands online. Having raised one of the largest Series A funding rounds of Southeast Asia, aCommerce is now rapidly expanding as the region’s leading e-commerce service provider.

With over 1,200 staff and operations in Southeast Asia, aCommerce provides localized e-commerce solutions for global brands such as L’Oreal, LINE, HP, Philips as well as retailers and marketplaces such as Lazada and Matahari Mall.

Early adopting culture, along with the high income consumers, advanced logistics makes Singapore an ideal place for online shopping. Also, in the official statement company says online shopping in the nation makes up 2.1% of retail sales which is the highest proportion of all Southeast Asian countries.

“26% of Singaporeans buy something or the other online every week – whether from a brand site, marketplace or messaging app which makes Singapore the best place for any brand looking to expand their online presence.” said Karl. ” Working with DKSH will enable us to partner with category leaders”.
