Manolo Blahnik opens its first Malaysian store

Manolo Blahnik, the shoe designers’ shoe designer, has opened a new 1,022 square foot store in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.

The opening is part of an Asia expansion plan that also includes the refurbishment of its Singapore store, currently at Takashimaya, as well as the launch of a flagship store in Tokyo next year. The brand worked with luxury importer Bluebell Group, owner of Retail in Asia, on the projects.

“Manolo Blahnik is a global brand, but with comparatively small distribution in Japan, Malaysia and Singapore,” Manolo Blahnik International CEO Kristina Blahnik said.

In Malaysia, Manolo Blahnik shoes are priced from RM3,900 to RM7,900. Bags start from RM10,000. The current Autumn/Winter 2016 collection highlights elaborate beading and embroidery, plus gilded brooches and buckles.
