Taiwan’s industrial production index for December 2009 (covering manufacturing, quarry & mining, construction, electricity/gas/water supply industries) rose 5.32 percent sequentially and 47.34 percent on year, while the index for the manufacturing sector alone increased 4.52 percent on month and 50.16 percent on year, according to statistics released by the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) on 25 January.
