As they prepare to ring in the Year of the Tiger, The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel are luring Lunar New Year visitors with live entertainment and lai see – the lucky red packets traditionally given out at this time of year.
Besides receiving lai see from a "God of Fortune" strolling around the shopping area, visitors can also redeem the red packets in exchange for spending over MOP1,000 at The Grand Canal Shoppes.
Live performances will include an internationally acclaimed duo performing yoyo and contortion tricks; the amazing art of mask changing – a closely guarded secret of the Sichuan opera; contortion with props, by the Beijing National Acrobatic Troupe; as well as a traditional lion dance performance.
